“No Experience Necessary”: The Internal Trafficking of Persons in South Africa

This report was prepared on behalf of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) by research consultant, Laura Gauer Bermudez, with funding from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in South Africa.   “No Experience Necessary”: The Internal Trafficking of Persons in South Africa was completed over a period of six months, beginning in March and ending in September 2008, with the aim of providing relevant qualitative findings concerning the internal trafficking of persons for the purposes of commercial sexual exploitation, forced labour, and the removal of organs.
